In last week’s newsletter I mentioned The Quilter’s Planner that my friend Stephanie Palmer at Late Night Quilter has created.
Many, many of you have commented on this blog that organization is one of your biggest challenges when it comes to sewing. I think Stephanie knows this, and that led her to create The Quilter’s Planner. Because she has a background in psychology, she knows that having a planner will help you schedule and achieve all of your 2016 sewing goals. What really appeals to me is having a way to stay on top of projects and have them integrated into my daily life.
Here’s more information on The Quilter’s Planner.
Guess what? Stephanie is giving away one of these planners! Due to the Christmas holiday, the contest will only go through this Sunday, December 20th. We’re closing out the giveaway early so Stephanie can mail your planner in time for the new year! That way, you can get started on planning out all of your sewing, as well as integrating it into your every day life.
Be sure to enter before midnight Sunday, December 20th! The contest is open to US and Canadian residents.

I just became the President of our Quilt Guild and we are having our first Quilt Show in several years and our membership is really low so I am wearing a lot of hats and trying to keep it all straight is maddening. I still have to make my own projects for the show too. My UFO pile has taken on a life of it’s own.
The Quilter’s Planner can simplify my sewing by helping me keep track of it. I’m always losing my notes on the projects I have in various stages of completion.
What a great way to keep track of all the projects I have going … and the rest of my life too!
I am a beginner and so far have made two small quilts for granddaughters. I am so excited about learning everything that my head will hold. I find your site so very helpful.

Getting organized is a project, staying organized is a habit. Fun tools, like Stephanie’s planner, make creating new habits lots of fun!
This is just what I need. I get overwhelmed at all the projects I have started and not finished; gifts I want o make for special folks in my life plus my guild projects that I feel like one of those toy cars that hit a wall and turn around only to hit another wall.
I love a daily planner – if it’s in the planner there is a much better chance it will get done. I have a lot of projects going on at once and this planner would be just the ticket to help me get organized and keep on task!
As a beginning quilter this planner would help keep me on track while learning new skills and creating the many quilts I have planned! I love to be organized and this fits my personality!
What an awesome tool to keep me on task and on track to plan the things I want to do and do the things I plan! Have a blessed day…
This would make life sew much easier. Definitely keep me organized, all my notes in one location and ready for a quick review. Thank you for doing this. Whoever wins I think this is wonderful.
Husband and I share a calendar. He doesnt complain about the
confusion or my illegible handwriting or tendancy to hog the space. However, i know he will appreciate having
the calendar to himself w hen i win.
I am so excited about this planner!!!
I have been thinking about a creative planner for those of us who need to plan more than just appointments and such. Thank you so much!!
Organization will be a priority for me in the coming year. I’m finding I meet more of my goals when I can look ahead, plan and not overload my plate. A planner is an awesome visual tool!
I always start the year with such good intentions, but quickly fall by the wayside. This sounds like a great way to help me to stay on track.
I am very active in my Quilt Guild and have a very busy personal life as well. I seem to never have enough time at the end of the day to work on my sewing/quilting. This would help me plan for that time as well as keep up with upcoming classes and workshops.
Having a planner centered around quilting and embroidery work is just what I need to keep on track to achieve my goals in 2016. What a great idea and I can’t wait to have my own.
My entire family could use this quilting planner! Our goal is to make a quilt for each member of the family, several for local needs, and one for each bedroom in my home in 2016. Perfect year for quilting planners! We have yards of fabric waiting…. 🙂
I am beginning the new year with a reorganized sewing studio. Keeping it that way is a huge challenge for me since I have retired and downsized my home. I have good intentions, but need a structured framework to keep me on track. This planner seems to be a perfect solution for me.
I struggle all the time with being organized. I do have to write to-do lists so I know what needs to be done and check off each as done. This organizer would be a joy and stress relief to me.
I don’t quilt but I sure can appreciate a good planner 🙂 Organizing is my thing.
I am committed to getting more quilting done this year. I would love to win this planner. I think the prompts will really keep me on track. I love lists and checking completed items off!
My wife would love this.
This looks like a great planner. Since I’ve already purchased a different 2016 planner, I guess I’ll have to look forward to getting this one in 2017. It would be a great help in getting those WIPs completed!
I am unorganized. I also think of ideas while I am trying to complete a quilt or other sewing project. I could use this planner to make notes and complete a project and finish it, instead of having dozens of projects that get started and never finished.
A planner that helps me keep my sewing organized would be dream….as I so often have spend time organizing goals and patterns in a notebook and it’s a huge plus that I can also then organize my other day to day activities….win win
I just started quilting and this looks like something that would really help a LOT!!!!!
This looks like a very helpful and cute planner that would help keep me organized. I’m not currently using a planner and dislike all the pieces of papers I use to keep track of things.

Planner would be a great way to organize myself. Love it!
The Quilter’s Planner looks like a perfect blend of personal and professional. We are hoping to open a shop in 2016 so I’ve got to get busy making shop samples! In addition to planning and overseeing the building of a shop and trying to keep home life from becoming a daily meltdown, I’m also remodeling a house! I NEED a planner! Thanks for creating and offering this giveaway.
I’m newer to quilting but do a lot of garment sewing and crafts. This would help organize my time so well. I realize it’s probably meant just for quilters but it would help keep me on track with who I am sewing for, their size, color preference & need. Lots of ways to use it but that is just one. Genius!
Just to have you’re ideas all written down in one spot would be nice.
This looks like it would really help me organize my quilting with the rest of my life!
I have so many UFOs to keep track of. I think the planner could help by keeping me honest in my schedule and my expectations. Thanks for the giveaway!
I can’t believe it! I’ve been looking for a planner just like this but couldn’t find anything close to meeting both my practical and creative needs. Would love to win it.
Oh! I’d love to win this planner. I am a planner. It’s how I accomplish my To Dos. That said, I’ve never figured out a way to plan for my quilting projects. This planner looks great from what I saw in the brief video. I’d love to win it!
What a brilliant idea! I have been quilting since 1996. It so easy to have all these project and deadline that must be met. This Quilter’s Planner would be a life line to organize myself in so many area. I have taken on the Joy of being a Quilt Show chairman. The Quilt Show is in 2016.
I love being organized, it’s the only way to get things done. I make lists and prioritize to get stuff finished but often have to move things to the bottom of the list when it’s things to do for just me!
I am trying so hard to get my act together and start quilting. Today we (my husband and I) moved my cabinet with the enamel top up into my craft room so I have something to cut out the material. This would help me even more.
Oh, I love this idea! A Quilter’s Planner is such a smart concept. I would definitely use this to keep track of my projects, classes, etc. When I’m organized, I’m motivated!
What a great idea! I love this planner. Thanks for the giveaway.
Not sure that anything can help me get organized (or motivated to get organized!) but this looks like a great planner
Right now, my sewing room is scattered with lists and post-it notes. All of them are trying to keep me on track, but there must be a better way! This planner may be the answer I need to best organize my time, my mind and my clutter!
I love that you can track stages of your project with this planner, that would be so helpful, great giveaway!
I would love the planner! I can’t seem to plan my quilting around cooking and cleaning and so many times my quilting gets left behind (unhappy face). This new year I hope to finish my first quilt and s planner would help.
I’m hoping just having it will encourage me to get to it! Thanks for the chance at a great win.
I am new to quilter so this planner would be a great help to get me started in the right direction. Thanks
This is a wonderful idea. I really like it.
Wow, what a great idea for a planner! I need one of these.
This planner looks great! We are moving and I think it would help me “find myself again” so that I can pick back up on quilting.
I’m so absent minded because of a past stroke, this would help me stay organized! Thank you!
Oh what a blessing this would be….A planner not just for my quilting goals, but a place where I can keep track of my life goals also….Thank you for the wonderful giveaway…And Happy Holidays……..
I have a pile of unfinished sewing projects and never know where to start (so the pile sits untouched). This planner would help me…plan!
You can never have enough organization when it comes to quilting. I need a centralized space to keep all my planned projects 🙂
I have learned that if I make a to do list I can achieve so much more in a day. This planner will give me structure. It will give me a reason to right things down. So much more organized then scrap paper.
This is a wonderful idea and very helpful. I love anything that helps me stay organized. This looks a winnner!
I love to write things down and a planner helps a lot.
The Quilter’s Planner would help me finally get some of my UFO projects and new ones (that are still in my head) listed in one place.
LOVE THIS! I’ve been looking for something like this forever!
