St. Patrick’s Day is such a fun way to celebrate all things Irish ~ even if you aren’t Irish. I’ve compiled a collection of 30 Irish Recipes for Every Meal of the Day.
In case you’re wondering why I took the time to compile this roundup, I love the story of St. Patrick. His life as a slave, his Christian conversion while in captivity, and then his return to Ireland to share Christianity with the very people who enslaved him. His contribution to Christianity lives on today ~ and I think that deserves remembrance.
I’ve done this round up differently. I’ve divided the recipes into categories. That way, you can whip up something like a beverage or dessert. Or, do an entire Irish Day! Your choice!
Beverages:
I know ~ beer is usually the beverage of choice. But, I’ve included a couple of things that you can serve to the kids ~ and one for the adults.
1. Lucky Lime Floats
2. Homemade Bailey’s Irish Cream
3. Skinny Shamrock Shake
Breads:
FYI, not all of these bread recipes are not gluten-free. However, I think that they can easily be converted by switching out the flour for Namaste Gluten-Free Flour Blend (affiliate) which has a one-to-one replacement. I’m am so going to make one of these soda breads.
Entrees:
Can anyone say comfort food?
Sides & Appetizers:
Potatoes, pasties, and pubs. I don’t think you can go wrong here.
Desserts:
I didn’t say healthy Irish recipes, did I? These are just so mouth-watering. And, technically, the Minty Cheese Ball is gluten-free.
Tea Time:
30. Glazed Irish Breakfast Tea Madeleines
Beannachtai Na Feile Padraig Oraibh!
(St. Patrick’s Day Blessing Upon You!)

Hi Leslie, I’m Karri, from Blue Ribbon Kitchen. I was so surprised to see my Lucky Lime Floats on your Irish round up board….what a treat. Thank you for including the Lucky Lime Floats… and have a very Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
What a wonderful compilation of recipes! This is perfect for the next few days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day. Thank you for sharing them. I’ve got it all pinned.
What a great collection! It makes me want to go to Ireland and experience these foods and drinks first hand.
I think the 4 cups flour and 1 3/4 cups buttermilk is a little dry,. If your dough looks too dry add some more buttermilk. Also brush the top with butter and cover with a towel after you’ve turned it out of the pan. I only make it once a year because it’s too addicting.
