National Tie One On Day

For apron lovers everywhere there is a day that ties aprons to charity! National Tie One On Day is a way to share from your bounty. It was started by EllynAnn Geisel four years ago and has been growing in popularity. Here is a great interview with EllynAnn. After reading it, you will want to tie one on with the rest of us!

Miss Mustard Seed Pays Me a Visit

Furniture Feature Fridays

Welcome all to Miss Mustard Seed's Furniture Feature Friday! Sadly, I don't have any furniture to feature; however, I am giving away an owl . Not the Harry Potter kind of owl, but an embroidered owl like the one below!

Our feathered friend is very special. He has over 27,000 stitches and is embroidered on watercolor paper. No easy feat, let me assure you! Best of all, he looks like a pen and ink drawing.

"What does one do with an embroidered owl?" you might ask. Why, do what I did and frame it nicely then hang it on your favorite empty wall!

If your owl gets lonely, you can always stop by my Etsy store and get him a few friends to share the wall!

They never call...they never write...

Once an apron is bought and mailed, I get a little feedback from its new owner, then poof, I never know what it's up to. However, recently I have heard from some of my aprons.
This one is now living in St. Louis. It's doing a happy dance with its new owner Kate!

This apron became a Halloween costume! A friend had purchased two aprons like this for a mother and her daughter. For Halloween, the daughter dressed in black tights, a black knit top and this apron! For added sass, she put a fuscia bow in her hair. When she went door to door to trick or treat, instead of holding out a bag, she lifted a silver platter! Is that not adorable! I would've never dreamed one of my aprons could be so clever!
